Y Cae Chwarae | Playing Field

Os hoffech fwy o wybodaeth am y cae, cysylltwch ag Esta Jones ar 01559 384683.
Mae yna dros 10 mlynedd ers i griw bach o fechgyn o’r pentref a oedd yn awyddus i gael darn o dir i chwarae peldroed arno i gael yr hawl - dros dro - i chwarae ar y cae presennol. Sylweddolwyd yn gyflym iawn fod y datblygiad bach yma yn llwyddiant ac o ganlyniad i chwarae peldroed brwd bron bob nos am wythnosau, fe sefydlwyd y tim ‘Brynteifi Rovers’. Gan fod aelodau’r tim a’r perchennog yn hapus iawn gyda’r datblygiadau, penderfynwyd cael cyfreithiwr i dynnu allan gytundeb swyddogol sef rhoi les o 21 mlynedd i dim rheoli a oedd yn cynnwys aelodau o wahanol sefydliadau yn y pentref. Cafwyd caniatad cynllunio oddi wrth y Cyngor Sir er mwyn datblygu’r tir fel cae chwarae iawn ac fe sefydlwyd y fenter fel elusen.
DATBLYGIADAU
Ar ol peth amser, cafwyd grant o dros £20,000 o Gynllun Enfys y Loteri ac fe ddechrwuwyd ar y gwaith o uwch-raddio’r cyfleusterau. Erbyn hyn, mae popeth bron wedi ei orffen - mae gwaelod y cae wedi ei ddraenio a’r maes peldroed wedi ei symud yn is i lawr er mwyn creu lle i roi offer chwarae i blant bach erbyn y Gwanwyn. Mae yn alwybr caled yn rhedeg wrth ochr y cae a seddau i eistedd arnynt wrth wylio’r chwarae. Mae ffens ddiogel o amgylch y maes gyda phlanhigion a fydd yn ei chuddio yn gyflym - planhigion sydd wedi eu dewis er mwyn denu adar gwyllt i’r ardal.
Mae Sied wrth y fynedfa i’w glanhau a’i pheintio a chan fod cyflenwad o ddwr a thrydan ynddi yn barod bydd yn bosib paratoi bwyd mewn awyrgylch glan a hwylus. Mae maes parcio bach wedi ei greu hefyd. Mae’n fwriad cael diwrnod agored yn y Gwanwyn er mwyn rhoi cyfle i bawb i weld y datblygiadau ac i aelodau’r pwyllgor roi diolch yn fawr iawn i’r contractwyr a’r holl wirfoddolwir a fu yn gweithio mor gydwybodol i gwblhau’r gwaith angenrheidiol.
TWRNAMAINT
Eleni eto, rydym yn bwriadu trefnu y twrnament peldroed blynyddol gan obeithio y daw timau o ysgolion cynradd ac uwchradd cyfagos fel arfer. Mae’n braf gweld fod y timau merched yn llawn mor fedrus a’r bechgyn erbyn hyn.
Cynhaliwyd y twrnament 5 bob ochr i dimau cymysg ysgolion cynradd ac uwchradd ar gae pel droed Pencader eleni eto, gan fod y cae yn Llanfihangel yn cael ei ail gynllunio. Cafwyd dwy noson hyfryd, o ran pel droed a’r tywydd ym mis Mehefin ar gyfer y twrnamaint flynyddol hon.
Roedd 5 tim yng nghystadleuaeth yr ysgolion cynradd, sef 2 dim o Ysgol Pencader, 2 dim o Ysgol New Inn ac un tim o Ysgol Capel Dewi. Y tim a ddaeth i’r brig oedd Ysgol Capel Dewi, wedi iddynt ennill pob gem gan sgorio cyfanswm o 12 gol gydag ond 2 gol yn eu herbyn. Yn ail oedd Ysgol New Inn. Enillydd tlws chwaraewraig y twrnamaint oedd Lowri Davies o Ysgol New Inn ac enillydd tlws y chwaraewr gorau oedd Marc Bowen o Ysgol Capel Dewi.
Bu nifer o dimau cymysg o flynyddoedd 7 ac 8 yr ysgol uwchradd yn cystadlu ar y noson ganlynol. Y tim buddugol oedd ‘Mean Machine’ o Ysgol Dyffryn Teifi a enillodd 6 gem. Yn y tim llwyddiannus hwn oedd Bethan Davies, Helen Hughes, Michael Jones, Owain Powell, Gethin Davies, Llyr Lewis a Llyr Jones. Y tim a ddaeth yn ail oedd y ‘Ghostbusters’ eto o Ysgol Dyffryn Teifi. Yn y tim yma roedd Carys Davies, Michelle Davies, Steffan Evans, Tom Rogers, Daniel Gough a Paul Hands. Chwaraewraig orau y twrnamaint oedd Michelle Davies a’r chwaraewr gorau oedd Gethin Davies.
Diolchiadau i Glwb Peldroed Pencader am ddefnydd o’r cae ac hefyd i’r canlynol am ddyfarnu yr holl gemau, sef, Wyn Roberts, Sion Powell, Melanie Davies a Tracey Davies.
Dyma rai o aelodau’r pwyllgor a gwirfoddolwyr (a Dai!) yn helpu ar y cae | Here are some committee members and volunteers (and Dai!) helping on the field:

If you would like further infromation on the field, contact Esta Jones on 01559 384683.
Nearly eight years have passed since a group of local boys from the village, who were very keen to have a field to play football on, received the right - temporarily - to play on the present field. It was soon realised that this development was a success and from a result of constant football playing every night for weeks, ‘Brynteifi Rovers’ were created. As the team members and the owner were very happy with the development, it was decided that a lawyer would draw up an official contract giving 21 years of lease to a management team including members from different organisations in the village. Planning rights were given from the County Council to develop the land as a proper playing field and the venture was established as a charity.
After some time, we received a grant of over £20,000 from the Lottery Rainbow Scheme and worked started to improve the facilities. At present, the work is nearly completed - the bottom of the field has been drained and the football pitch has moved down, therefore, leaving space at the top of the field for playing equipment for small children by the Spring. There is a concrete path running down the side of the field and benches for sitting whilst watching the playing. A secure fence has been erected around the field with plants that will quickly hide the fence - the plants have been chosen so they attract wild birds to the area.
The shed near the entrance needs to be cleaned and painted and since there is an electricity and water supply there already it will be possible to prepare food in a clean and easy environment. A small car park has also been created. It is our intention to have an open day in the Spring so everyone has a chance to see the new developments and a chance for the committee members to thank the contracters and all the volunteers who have been working conscientiously to finish the necessary work.
TOURNAMENT
Yet again this year, we plan to organise the annual football tournament with the hope that teams from local primary and secondary schools will attend as usual. It is pleasing that the girl teams are just as skilled as the boy teams by now.
The annual 5 a side tournament for mixed teams of primary and secondary schools was held again this year at Pencader’s football pitch, since the field in Llanfihangel is being improved. The weather held up and we had a wonderful two nights of competing in June.
There were 5 teams competeing in the tournament for the primary schools, which were 2 teams from Ysgol Pencader, 2 teams from Ysgol New Inn and one team from Ysgol Capel Dewi. The winners were Ysgol Capel Dewi, having won every game and scored a total of 12 goals and only conceded 2 goals. Ysgol New Inn came second. The best girl footballer of the tournament trophy was given to Lowri Davies from Ysgol New Inn and the Marc Bowen from Ysgol Capel Dewi won the best boy footballer of the tournament trophy.
Many teams competed in the tournament for year 7 and 8 pupils. The winners were ‘Mean Machine’ from Ysgol Dyffryn Teifi who won all 6 games. In the winning side was Bethan Davies, Helen Hughes, Michael Jones, Owain Powell, Gethin Davies, Llyr Lewis and Llyr Jones. The runners-up were ‘Ghostbusters’ again from Ysgol Dyffryn Teifi. The team members were Carys Davies, Michelle Davies, Steffan Evans, Tom Rogers, Daniel Gough and Paul Hands. The best girl player was awarded to Michelle Davies with Gethin Davies receiving the best boy player.
Many thanks to Pencader Football Club for the use of the pitch and to the following for refereeing all of the games, Wyn Roberts, Sion Powell, Melanie Davies and Tracey Davies.
